申報對象：廣州國際照明展同期參展企業。“技術”一般指具有前瞻性和發展性的，用于規劃和引導產品研制和應用開發的技術理念或解決方案。 Technology award applicants: Exhibitors of the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition to be held. "Technologies" generally refer to the forward-looking and developmental technical ideas or solutions for planning and guiding product research, manufacture, application and development. |

申報對象：具有獨立法人資格的設計院（所）、設計公司，高等院校，科研單位和照明工程公司、該項目主要產品的供應商。“工程”是指申報項目已完工，無權屬爭議并且投入使用在三個月以上的照明工程。 Project award applicants: Design institutes and design companies with independent legal qualifications, colleges and universities, scientific research institutions, lighting engineering companies and the major project product providers. "Projects" refer to the lighting projects having been completed with no ownership dispute and having been put into use for more than three months. |

申報對象：以純粹的照明創意設計作品為主，探索多種光源照明在各種領域的創新應用。功能、形式不限，面向全球設計師、學生進行作品征集。 Design award applicants: Pure creative design lighting works exploring the innovative application of lighting with multiple light sources in various fields will be assessed. The works will be collected from designers and students all over the world, without any limitation on functions and forms. |

| 關于產品類、技術類的申報補充說明：如申報單位非2016廣州國際照明展覽會的參展商，則需要是阿拉丁商城品牌中心的企業或者有十位評審團成員（提名委員或合作機構）推薦。 Statement: For those product or technology award applicants who are not the exhibitors of the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition to be held, they need to be satisfied one of the following conditions: 1.The enterprises need to join the brand center of Alighting Mall. 2.The applicaitions need to obtain recommendations of more than ten judges in the Jury Committee. | ||

2015年11月，開通網上報名及資料提交專門通道，參賽者進行資料準備及提交；工作人員進行資料初審，初審通過的申報項目即可在網上進行展示、宣傳及配合推廣。
在復審投票前，參評企業可以向組委會申請，邀約神燈獎提名委員和合作機構代表去進行申報項目考察。
2016年4月10日報名截止，關閉所有報名通道。
全部提名委員和合作機構代表將對所有參評項目進行投票評選
百名提名委員、合作機構根據投票規則進行自主投票(每位提名評委、合作機構于每個類別僅有十張選票，且每家企業于每個類別僅有一個項目可以入圍)，依據部分提名委員的推薦考察意見作為參考。
為擴大獎項的影響力與互動范圍，在產品，技術，工程，設計四大類獎項的前30名入圍獲獎者中，均評選一名最佳人氣獎，共四名。選取結果由行業人士網絡投票得出。
根據入圍結果，第三方檢測機構的檢測報告以及實地考察意見，七位終審委員投票評選出最終獲獎結果。
